Westfälisch-Lippischer Landwirtschaftsverband e.V.
For more than 75 years, the WLV has been the representation for people working in agriculture and forestry in Westphalia-Lippe. The regional structure with 19 district associations and about 480 local associations ensures the formation of opinion from the member base and thus a transparent and successful representation of interests. With approximately 38,000 members, the WLV is the largest sub-association of the German Farmers' Association.

The Internet presence of the WLV includes a rich content offering and provides a lot of information and services for the members of the association.
After registration, members can access exclusive information and offers of the association via a protected area.
All district associations have independent microsites within the web portal. It is also possible to create separate microsites for special topics on which a particular focus is to be placed.
Custom Headless CMS
For the editorial work in the state association and in the county associations, we have implemented a completely custom CMS based on Laravel and Vue.js. As a basis for the CMS we used our own developed scaffolding package "Macrame" and individualized and extended existing basic functions. Thus, we were able to effectively implement even very specific requirements for the administration of web content and deliver a customized tool for the editors.
The CMS maps editorial workflows beyond the pure administration of content and acts as a central editorial system for a larger number of employees at the various administrative levels in the association. For example, editors at the district associations manage their own district association microsite, while editors at the state association headquarters control content at the state level. On the start page, an algorithm also supports the placement of temporarily relevant messages.
An admin panel provides the administrators in the CMS with various interfaces, e.g. to an app and a newsletter system (Brevo). Content can thus be managed centrally and, in addition to the website, can also be played out automatically on other channels, such as the app or in newsletters.
