Application of the design system
Following the development of a basic design system for the NPZ's breeding software, its use in specific areas of application was driven forward. The aim was to test the developed visual system in practice and apply it to central functional areas of the software as an example - both for the desktop version and in a mobile context.
Screen designs and click dummy
Sophisticated screen designs for selected functions of the web application were created on the basis of the previously developed component kit. The focus was on a clear, structured presentation of complex content and a high degree of user-friendliness in day-to-day work. Clickable prototypes were created for various functional modules of the desktop app in order to make typical user flows tangible and to make interaction with the interfaces testable at an early stage. The prototypes depict real application scenarios and were used for the exchange between development and specialist departments. In addition, an exemplary screen design was developed for the mobile app. The aim was to take into account the specific requirements in the seed store and in the field and to specifically optimize usability on smaller displays.
