Last updated on 05.11.2021
What is a backend?
In the context of software development, the backend refers to the functional and administrative part of an application that is not visible to the user. It handles the technical administration of the application in the background to enable its use in the frontend, i.e. the user interface.
What is Laravel?
Laravel is a free framework for the PHP programming language. With Laravel, robust and secure web solutions can be realized that meet professional requirements for software architecture and maintainability. Since its initiation by Taylor Otwell in 2011, Laravel has now established itself as the most popular PHP framework and has gathered a large international developer community around it.
Laravel is the first choice for implementing our web solutions. On the one hand, it is flexible and customizable down to the last detail, but on the other hand, it comes with plenty of out-of-the-box solutions that allow us to implement even complex functions relatively quickly. This "Laravel magic" makes some things work without much intervention and the "eloquent" and elegant syntax provides the best "developer experience". Laravel impresses with a good learning curve for our developers, not least because of the rich and well-structured documentation.
Modern security standards are effortlessly maintained by the integrated security features and due to the modern software architecture Laravel is also well suited for complex projects. In addition, Laravel brings a rich and mature ecosystem of add-on services and packages, which provides a convenient solution for all modern web application requirements.
